The memorial depicts a firefighter looking at a list of 17 firefighters that have died in the line of duty. The list has the name and year of their death. The inscription reads "This memorial is dedicated to the Oklahoma City firefighters who have given their lives in the line of duty to protect the citizens of this community. We honor them to ensure their sacrifice will not be forgotten." Another plaque states that the granite used here was part of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. Dedicated Oct 13, 2017 with 16 names. Firefighters sold approximately 1300 tee shirts for $20 each to raise the funds for the memorial.
