[EN] "The third level of the dungeon houses the dovecote covered with its conical roof topped by a skylight, and in the center of this circular room, an eight-meter central pillar supports the whole building up to the roof. In the wall are pierced 2,500 pigeonholes. The importance of the dovecote is a function of the owner's rank, and the eggs and the pigeon droppings used as fertilizer are an income, which has always been a great concern for the peasants. Of grievances of 1789, the main demand of the inhabitants is to enclose the birds during the periods of sowing and harvest."
