"Familienbetrieb seit 1896

"Family business since 1896
It was towards the end of the 19th century, when there was still a small colonial shop in the carpenter's shop of the Dott family. Then the young Johann Dott decided not to devote himself, like his brothers to the wood, but to the butcher's trade. In April, 1896, he took over the colonial store and offered meat and sausage. This laid the foundation stone for a family tradition, which is now being continued in the fourth generation.
After a century's turn, two world wars and many ups and downs, Johann Dott and his wife Katharina handed over their meat-processing to the next generation. From 1 January 1947 Toni and Katharina Dott (jun.) Led the parents' business. It was the time of reconstruction, and one moved in November 1951 from St. Nikolaus street into the new business premises in the main street.
Twenty years passed, and again there was a change of generations. On July 1, 1967, Josef Dott officially took over his parents' business. At that time his wife Maria was just pregnant - on 16th October her son Henry was born.
The meat factory Dott in Urmitz has been carried on since January 1, 1999 by him and his wife Tanja. In the meantime, the rooms and machines have been modernized several times and are now state of the art. Today, after another century turn, the butcher Dott has an excellent reputation throughout the region. In addition to meat and sausage products from our own production, we also offer dairy products, eggs, gift baskets and gift boxes as well as party services to our customers. "
