ENGLISH:
The coat of arms shows three legs / feet placed in the three-pass. In color, the legs are mostly black and the background is yellow / golden. In the case of the present coat of arms, the colors are interchanged.
Since the 13th century the coat of arms exists in its present form. There are various explanations about the importance of the design of the coat of arms.
As a talking coat of arms: the Füssener Stadtwappen carries three feet [germ.: Füße], due to the german name [Füsse]n.
The three feet could also stand for the 3 valleys (Vils-, Lech- and Faulenbachertal) or the 3 main gates (Lech-, Ritter- and Kuglertor) or the 3 main roads (Lechhalde, Ritter- and Reichenstraße).
