The Yew Trees in the churchyard were planted and dedicated in 1995 to the fallen in the second world war, and to give thanks for the 50 years of peace to that date.

The Yew Trees in the churchyard were planted and dedicated in 1995 to the fallen in the second world war, and to give thanks for the 50 years of peace to that date.
A plaque in the church porch reads:
"1945-1995
FOR YOUR TOMORROW
WE GAVE OUR TODAY
THE YEW TREES PLANTED IN THIS CHURCHYARD
ARE GIVEN BY PARITIONERS OF ST. GENNYS TO
HONOUR AND THANK THOSE WHO GAVE TO BRING
US SO FAR 50 YEARS OF PEACE.
THANKS BE TO GOD."
The trees can be found in the churchyard.
