This former County Court building has 5 carved heads spaced out across the width of the wall above the ground floor windows.

The building is an English Heritage Grade II listed building. It was erected in 1859, completed in 1862 and designed by Mr R C Reeves, the County Court Surveyor.

The stone heads are finely carved and form the keystones of the arches of the windows.

The building became a pub in 1990 until 2000 when it became empty. It was then converted to luxury apartments in 2010.
