From the Yreka Parks and Recreation website:

The Native American Heritage Park honors the local tribes of Northern California, which include the Achomawi, Hupa, Karuk, Konomihu , Modoc, New River Shasta, Okwanuchu, Shasta, Tolowa, Winto, and Yurok tribes. The small park located west of the Yreka Fire Station and across the street from the Yreka Police Department on Miner Street between Oregon St. and Gold St., contains a small picnic area, metal memorial sculpture, information boards, building structure and adjacent parking spaces.

There is a metal memorial sculpture located in the park that was sculpted by local artist Ralph Starritt. He has sculpted many metal sculptures throughout Yreka as well as in Southern Oregon and Northern California and a few of them I have waymarked, including The Miner, Peter Britt in Jacksonville, OR, and Eagle in Flight within Veterans Park in downtown Dorris.
