The Gaiety Hill-Bush's Pasture Park Historic District is located south of downtown Salem. It includes the 100-acre Bush's Pasture Park, the houses on streets surrounding the park, and the Gaiety Hill properties northwest of the park. It also includes the Deepwood estate, east of Bush's Pasture Park, a Victorian mansion that is individually listed in the National Register as the Dr. Luke A. Port House. At the time of nomination, the district contained 113 contributing properties, dating primarily from 1878 to 1938.

The default photo and GPS coordinates are from the Smith-Fry House, located at the top of Gaiety Hill. It is one of the oldest and most historically-notable houses in the district.
