This modern, curvaceous bench is done with ceramic tiles as a thank you to the supporters and contributors of the
2012 renovation of
Balboa Park. The bench has two back-to-back seats mounted on a concrete pedestal. Each of the two bench seats has a different color theme, one has red, orange and yellow ceramic tiles, while the other has blue, yellow and green ceramic tiles. The red-orange-yellow bench side has the following engraved on the tiles.
The Trust for Public Land in Partnership with
the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department
and five lead donors renovated Balboa Park in 2012. The Trust for Public Land thanks the New Mission
Terrace Improvement Association, Friends of Balboa Park Playground and
City and County of San Francisco,
Banana Republic,
Levi Strauss Foundation,
Pacific Gas and Electric Company,
Wells Fargo.
On the blue-yellow-green bench side, the tiles are engraved with the names of supporters and donors.
