The 25-acre Balboa Park is located in the Excelsior neighborhood of San Francisco. A new playground at Balboa Park opened in August, 2012, and work on the new skatepark was completed in September. Balboa, dedicated in 1910, is one of San Francisco's oldest parks and now, with all these great changes and renovations, it will be one of the city's newest parks.
