This stairway is located in John Hinkel Park in Berkeley, California. This sloping, wooded park is criss-crossed by short trails connected with stairways. At the lowest part of the park is the John Hinkel Amphitheater. The base of this stairway is right off the stage of of the amphitheater and climbs to the highest part of the park. The stairs are constructed of nice flat stones cemented in place and there is a wooden handrail beside the stairs. The stairs weave through an ivy covered hillside under the trees and even crosses a small creek on a bridge.
