Not as easy as it sounds. The Whitetail Deer is a very skittish animal and will run off at the slightest disturbance. Occasionally they will acclimate to people, but getting close to them is very difficult.
In order to log this waymark you'll need to post a photo of yourself with a LIVE deer, AND post the coordinates of where you took the photo.
NO pet deer.
NO farm penned deer.
NO drive-by photos from your car.
NO zoo deer.
NO stuffed deer.
NO decoys.
NO photoshopped deer photos.
The challenge is to get close enough to the deer to take a recognizable photo with yourself AND the deer in the frame - all of you with your feet on the ground. Bonus points for TOUCHING a LIVE deer.
Please take great caution stopping alongside busy roads.
