This is one of many granite posts used to mark the "corner" points on the boundary lines between towns in Massachusetts, in this case, the Towns of Hamilton and Manchester. The letters "H" (for Hamilton) and "M" (for Manchester) are inscribed on opposite sides. It is approximately fourteen by eighteen inches at the base, and tapers irregularly toward the top. It is about three feet high.
To reach the marker, first go to the
Hamilton-Manchester-Wenham waymark. From here, the marker is just 1/8 mile east, but you must detour around a swamp.
The next adjacent marker heading west is
Hamilton-Manchester-Wenham, 660 feet.
The next adjacent marker heading east is
Hamilton-Manchester E, 660 feet.
