This is one of many granite posts used to mark the "corner" points on the boundary lines between towns in Massachusetts, in this case, the Towns of Hamilton and Manchester. The letters "H" (for Hamilton) and "M" (for Manchester) are inscribed on opposite sides. This marker has seen better days. It is a slab, about four or five inches thick, and about 2.5 feet tall and fifteen inches wide. It is leaning at a thirty degree angle, and is in the center of a small circle of stones.
To reach the marker, first go to the
Hamilton-Manchester-Wenham waymark. From here, the marker is just 1/4 mile east, but you must detour around a swamp. You will pass
Hamilton-Manchester F along the way.
The next adjacent marker heading west is
Hamilton-Manchester F, 660 feet.
The next adjacent marker heading east is
Hamilton-Manchester C, 660 feet.
