The Los Alamitos Creek Trail parallels the Los Alamitos Creek. The trail is designed to minimize its impact on the surrounding wildlife habitat. Trails users are asked to help preserve the vegetation and wildlife along the trail.

The legs of the signpost are unique in that they have small metal animals attached to the legs, giving the sign a nice artistic look.

Not far from this sign, there are two small streams that merge together on their way to the lake at Almaden Lake Park.

A second sign like this one, in not quite as good condition, can be found further down the Los Alamitos Creek Trail at N37 13.426, W121, W121 51.261.
