Dimensions: Two parts. Each sculpture: approx. 60 x 90 x 90 in.; Each base: approx. 6 x 92 x 92 in.
Inscription: (Square base of one grouping, one word on each side:) Brotherhood/Liberty/Tolerance/Equality (Square base of the other grouping, one word or phrase on each side:) Peace and Unity/Justice/Friendship/Knowledge

The kneeling figures' extended arms are intertwined, representing the unity of the peoples of Europe, Asia Africa and North America.

The St. Joseph Hospital Medical Offices (aka Stone Professional Office Bldg) building was originally the offices of the Amalgamated Meatcutters and Butcher Workmen for which the sculptures were originally created. When they added the new center doorway, this blocked access to the back of the sculptures so the inscriptions there are not readily visible. Plus this made it impossible to take a decent picture that has both sculptures in it simultaneously.

The sculptor Egon Weiner is best know for his Pillar Of Fire, also waymarked:

Weiner was an instructor at the Art Institute from 1945 to 1971. He died in August 1987. He also did this sculpture out in Oak Park:
