The Sanborn Youth Science Institute is located in Sanborn County Park.

From the Sanborn Youth Science Institute (YSI) web page:

Nestled within Sanborn Park, in the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains, YSI's Sanborn Science and Nature Center has been open to the public since 1982. Aubrey Creek flows year-round through this magnificent setting. The waterway hosts many types of habitats found within the surrounding landscape: redwood forest, chaparral, oak woodland, and a riparian. The famous San Andreas Fault also runs directly through the Park.

Exhibits include live animals that populate the Santa Cruz Mountain Range, earthquake and geology displays, an arthropod zoo, and a garden, featuring both regional plants and those used by Native Americans. Science day camps are held during the Summer. A popular highlight of the the Sanborn Science and Nature Center is the YSI Insect Fair, held every May.
