This fish hatchery was created by Seth Green, who is known as the father of fish culture. He pioneered the use of hatcheries to rear fish. The hatchery is run by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and according to their website, the hatchery rears brown trout and rainbow trout. Annual production is approximately 170,000 pounds.
