St.Michael's church Rampside can be found 3 miles South of Barrow in Furness on the A5087,(Rampside road)The main village of Rampside it self is half a mile further South and stands next to the shore of Morecambe Bay.

St.Michael's stands on the site of an earlier chapel of 1621 ,which in turn stood on the site of a Saxon burial ground,many artefacts have been discovered over the years in the churchyard proving that the Vikings were here at one time.
George Fox the Quaker who married Margaret Fell of nearby Swarthmoor hall came and preached here.
The 1840 church though next to the main coast road to Barrow in Furness,is a quiet tranquil place.
