Michigan Central Railroad Niles Depot

The Michigan Central Railroad Depot in Niles built 1891-92 was designed by architects Frederich Spier and William C. Rohn.  The Richardsonian Romanesque styled depot is constructed of dark stone.  The depot features a 60-foot tall clock tower. The  depot has served continuously as a railroad depot and continues to serve as a Amtrak depot along the Detroit to Chicago route with four trains a day.
