This cemetery, 2.7 hectares in size and houses 690 graves, created in October 1914 for the already fallen soldiers of the First World War.
The first burial took place on November 14, 1914.

Originally intended as a resting place for soldiers killed in the First World War, during the Second World War it accommodated both fallen soldiers brought home and men, women and children killed in the bombing of Mülheim.
