Le Mont Royal culmine à 233m d’altitude. Ce n’est pas très haut, certes, et pourtant ! On aperçoit cette colline loin à l’horizon. Depuis plus d'un siècle, le belvédère est sans contredit l’endroit de choix pour voir les transformations de la cité
C’est en 1997 qu’on le nomme « Kondiaronk », en l’honneur du chef huron-wendat. Surnommé « Le Rat » par les Français pour ses qualités de fin stratège, il a été un important instigateur de la Grande Paix de Montréal. Malheureusement, il est décédé de fièvres le 2 août 1701, quelques jours avant la ratification du traité de paix.
Nous pouvons admirer la ville, le fleuve St-Laurent , le Stade olympique .

Mount Royal rises to 233m above sea level. It’s not very high, yes, and yet! We can see this hill far on the horizon.
For more than a century, the belvedere has undoubtedly been the place of choice to see the transformations of the city.
It was named "Kondiaronk" in 1997 in honor of the Huron-Wendat chief. Nicknamed "The Rat" by the French for his qualities as a fine strategist, he was an important instigator of the Great Peace of Montreal. Unfortunately, he died of fevers on August 2, 1701, a few days before the ratification of the peace treaty.
