This is a free standing post office building, constructed in 1912 and designed by architect James Knox Taylor. It operated as a post office until 1965, when a newer building was constructed nearer the downtown business area. The building currently houses the Wellington School District.

This is a one-story Bedford limestone building. The facade has seven bays, separated by six Tuscan columns. The entablature has a series of circular designs. A portico runs from Bay 2 to 6, with 8 steps leading from ground level. Each bay has a double window with a faux clerestory, and above each window is a decorative stone panel. The center bay contains the glass entry door which has a transom and sidelights. The roof is a shallow hip roof. The south elevation has four single windows and a centered entry.
