Google translation:
Halfway between Kemmerode and Machtlos they found the erratic boulder with the Hersfeld coat of arms cut intact. The unusual name of the stone stems from a legend: two giants, one located on the Eisenberg, the other on the Herzberg, had quarreled and threw stones at each other - but they missed their target. And so the boulder, the so-called Pöbelstein, is still relatively far away from the Herzberg in the forest. The traces of the giant claws can still be seen today in the form of deep furrows.
