KELLOTAPULI
Erillisiä kellotapuleita rakennettiin kirkkojen yhteyteen etenkin 1700-luvulla. Monen tapulin, kuten tämänkin kattomuodoissa on barokille tyypillisiä kaarevia muotoja.
KIRKKO
Kuhmalahden kirkko seisoo edelleen samalla kalliorinteellä, jonne paikkakunnan väki on kokoontunut jumalanpalveluksiin jo lähes 350 vuoden ajan.
THE BELL TOWER
Separate bell towers were built especially during the 18th century. They are usually typical for a specific area and were built by famous church builders. To build a wooden church required a special licence to save wood materials. In the 19th century the bell-tower was normally built as a part of the church building. The impressive bell tower besides the Church of Kuhmalahti has also the round roof shapes, which are typical for baroque buildings.
BUILDING OF THE CHURCH
Church of Kuhmalahti has already been located in this same place for 350 years. The church is built during the years 1845-1846 and it is designed by the architect E. Lohrman.
