Main belt asteroid 324 Bamberga is the 14th largest object in the asteroid belt and the 10th brightest - one of the few asteroids that can be spotted with ordinary binoculars.

The asteroid was discovered on February 25, 1892 by Austrian astronomer Johann Palisa. It was named after the Franconian town Bamberg. We picked the location of Bamberg's Old Town Hall for this waymark.
