"Das Haus wurde im ausgehenden 18. Jahrhundert vom Postamtsverwalter Groß von Ehrenstein neu errichtet. Bis 1790 diente es als Posthaus, daran erinnert heute noch das Wappen am Plafond in der Einfahrt. Als Posthaus wurde es von Steuern und sonstigen bürgerlichen Lasten befreit, was für den Hauptplatz eine Besonderheit war.

The house was rebuilt in the late 18th century by the post office administrator Groß von Ehrenstein.
