Karel Capek's short stories regularly attracted the filmmakers, for their sizzling economy they were also ideal for shorts - also in this picture we can find three stories written by the mostly debuting directors. However, they are descriptive, devoid of original personality, when they depict distinct criminal events that go beyond common experience and habits. In the first story, this is a strange stone throw record, the second is looking for a perpetrator of no less mysterious shooting, and in the final main hero he searches for a long time in vain where there are rare blue chrysanthemums.

Povídky Karla Capka pravidelne pritahovaly filmare, pro svou syžetovou úspornost byly navíc ideální pro krátkou metráž - také v tomto snímku nalezneme hned tri príbehy, které natocili vesmes debutující režiséri. Jsou ovšem ploše popisné, zbavené puvodní osobitosti, když lící svérázné kriminální události, vymykající se bežným zkušenostem i zvyklostem. V první povídce se jedná o podivný rekord v hodu kamenem, v druhé je hledán pachatel neméne záhadné strelby a v záverecné hlavní hrdina dlouho marne pátrá, kde se vyskytuje vzácná modrá chryzantéma.
