This comedy is based on stories by the Czech writer Bohumil Hrabal. It takes place in summer of 1947. Charming, witty and smart men represent a fictitious insurance company. The insurance policies, however, disappear in the pockets of the Prague playboys who use the money for very pleasant purposes, but eventually they are cheated by the "Angelic Eyes" of someone still smarter.

Literární predlohou byla novela Bohumila Hrabala Bambini di Praga 1947, doplnená dalšími motivy z jeho povídek vydaných knižne pod názvy Perlicka na dne a Pábitelé. Dušan Klein se podílel i na scénári, jako ostatne casto.
Príbeh se odehrává v léte roku 1947, kdy se blížila doba znárodnení a likvidace živností. Tento velice vypjatý stav patricne využila fašistická parta agentu pojištovny s názvem Opora ve stárí. Podvodníci agenti zacali živnostníkum z rad rezníku, drogistu, ševcu ci holicu a jiných profesí nabízet pomyslnou ochranu pred krachem. Nešlo jen o financní zisk, ale o jejich zábavu na úcet duverivých živnostníku. Ale nic netrvá vecne. Podvodnícci se nechali obelstít "andelskýma ocima" nekoho, kdo byl chytrejší než oni. Ale ani on z toho nevyšel beztrestne.
