Pützbach was a settlement in the north of Bad Ems. There is little known about the history of this village In was first mentioned in a document in 1361. Until today it is not clear why the village has been abondoned. It may be caused by a fire during the time of the 30-years-war, when a large part of the village has been destroyed. At least in the mid of the 18th century a building is document in Pützbach. If it is not known, if there this building was the only one there or if there was still a village. Economical reasons may also be the cause. In the area of Bad Ems were many mines which has been exhausted at the end of the 19th century.
Reason for Abandonment: Economic
