Britton is a virtual ghost town in Ellis County, not far from Mansfield in Tarrant County, with a population of about thirty people. There are some residences, the cemetery, and a general store, and while some accounts note this church as the center of the community, the old bank down the road probably attracts the most visitors from outside the area. It's near the general store, on private property, but they don't mind your taking photos and leaving only footprints. There are stories that Bonnie and Clyde wouldn't rob this bank, as there was a place nearby where she liked to get ice cream.
