I couldn't find any information about the history of the church either on the NSW Government's Office of Environment & Heritage or other local sources. It is not a heritage listed building. The Uniting Church's website has no history of their churches.
The church is a local stone construction with a new colourbond roof. The surrounding lawns are well kept. There is a cemetery in one corner (Gullen Cemetery) but there is no information about it on Australian Cemeteries Index.
The church sign is quite old as it only has a six figure phone number. Australia changed to eight figures in 1998/99.
