One of a total of 347 Mark 3, V and 11 tanks procured by the Canadian Army. They were in use between 1952 and 1978, when they were replaced by the Leopard C1.

The tank on display, nicknamed "Callsign 12", bears sn 53-81288. It is in the colours of 2nd Troop, 'A' Sqn, Lord Strathcona's Horse (Royal Canadians) 1st Canadian Brigade Group, 1st Canadian Division, circa 1958.

Callsign 12 was refurbished by Craftsmen from CFB Chilliwack, BC, and presented to 1 Canadian Division HQ in 1988. In 2000 it was rededicated to the Joint Operations Warfare Centre, representing the Army's commitment to joint operations.
