The High Line, a unique and fascinating park, runs for about a mile and a half close to the Hudson River. Glimpses of the New Jersey skyline across the river combine with views of many murals and sculptures as well as a mixture of modern and vintage buildings to form a very enjoyable walk.

When the High Line was first designed, consideration was given to maintaining many of the wildflowers and shrubs which already existed and they were expertly combined with complementary garden plants to create the many gardens which dot the sides of the trail.

There are several exits from the High Line which, as its name implies, is not ground level. The trail head in this Waymark is the northernmost entry to the High Line. It is wheel chair accessible and the southern trail head has an elevator for easy wheelchair access. A rest room is also available at the southern trail head.

Parking is not available at the High Line except through parking garages. Best access is by subway, bike or bus.
