Located in the center of the Community EcoGarden (

A bronze angel statue is the centerpiece of the garden. A plaque on the statue reads:
ANGEL GARDEN
Dedicated to the ‘Angels’ of the Elk Valley. This garden is a tribute and a place for remembrance, reflection, and healing for families who have suffered the loss of a child. A place for community to come together and show support.
‘THOSE THAT WE HAVE HELD IN OUT ARMS FOR A LITTLE WHILE, WE HOLD ON OUR HEARTS FOREVER’

The Angel Garden was the vision of Dee Hatina who brought in her good friend Helen McAllister, after two families in the Fernie community lost a loved one at birth. Many others in the community contributed their time and talents to see the project through to completion, while local businesses also donated materials or money.
