Halverwege de Veeweg, een fietspad dat de Sittardse wijk Sanderbout verbindt met de Geleense wijk Lindenheuvel, staat een memoriekruis, een beetje verscholen in het groen. Dit monument herinnert eraan dat op die plaats in 1751 tien bokkenrijders uit Geleen en omgeving werden opgehangen.
