Das Kleinkastell Heidenstock war ein römisches Militärlager, das am Obergermanisch-Rätischen Limes, einem UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe, auf seinem Verlauf durch den Naturraum Hoher Taunus errichtet wurde. Die Fortifikation befindet sich rund fünf Kilometer südwestlich vom Kastell Saalburg entfernt in einer bewaldeten und unbewohnten Exklave des Bad Homburger Ortsteils Ober-Eschbach im hessischen Hochtaunuskreis.
Im Naturpark Taunus liegt die Fortifikation auf rund 610 m ü. NHN[1] am Eichkopf (620,2 Meter), einem Nordostsporn des Klingenkopfs (682,7 Meter). Vorbei führt im Abschnitt zwischen dem Kastell Saalburg und dem Taunuspass am Sandplacken (ca. 669 m) der Limes mit dem Limeswanderweg.

Vor Ort kann sich der Besucher an einer Infotafel über das Kleinkastel informieren.
Eine genaue Erbauungszeit ist unbekannt, sie wird aber mit 83nChr angenommen.
Mit einer Größe von 23x20m konnte es einer kleine Wachmannschaft als Unterkunft dienen.
Die Ausgrabungen und Erforschung ist datiert auf 1892

The small fort Heidenstock was a Roman military camp, which was built at the Upper German-Rhaetian Limes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on its course through the natural area Hoher Taunus. The fortification is located about five kilometers southwest of the castle Saalburg away in a wooded and uninhabited exclave of the Bad Homburg district Ober-Eschbach in the Hessian Hochtaunuskreis.
In the nature park Taunus the fortification lies on approximately 610 m above sea level. NHN [1] at the gauge head (620.2 meters), a northeast spur of the Klingenkopf (682.7 meters). Passing in the section between the castle Saalburg and the Taunuspass at Sandplacken (about 669 m) leads the Limes with the Limeswanderweg.

On site, the visitor can inform himself on an information board about the little box.
An exact construction time is unknown, but it is assumed with 83nChr.
With a size of 23x20m it could serve as accommodation for a small guard.
The excavations and exploration is dated to 1892
