Son style éclectique fait référence aussi bien à la Renaissance qu’à l’époque Louis-XIV. Cette nouvelle installation fait suite à la précédente implantation de la place Saint-Pierre, vingt ans auparavant. On remarque qu’il y a un siècle, le rez-de-chaussée du pan coupé à l’angle des rues est occupé par une fenêtre, là où aujourd’hui une double porte vitrée permet d’accéder au sas d’entrée. L’accès se faisait alors par la belle porte de la rue des Bons-Enfants. Il suffirait de presque rien pour retrouver l’atmosphère du siècle dernier : les immeubles tout autour de la place sont inchangés, la circulation est réduite ; il faudrait juste modifier la tenue vestimentaire des passants.

Its eclectic style refers to both the Renaissance and the Louis XIV period. This new installation follows the previous implantation on Saint Peter's Square, twenty years earlier. We note that a century ago, the ground floor of the cutaway at the corner of the streets is occupied by a window, where today a double glazed door provides access to the entrance hall. Access was then through the beautiful door of the rue des Bons-Enfants. It would take almost nothing to find again the atmosphere of the last century: buildings around the square are unchanged, traffic is reduced; we would just need change the clothes of passersby.
