Globe is a mining town and was founded in 1876. The prospect of work drew immigrants from around the world including a few from China. Over time each of the immigrant groups developed cemeteries dedicated to their culture. The Chinese Cemetery sits on a hilltop overlooking town. The oldest apparent death date is 1917 although there are a number of tombstones which appear to be sandstone and too badly weathered to read or are in Chinese script.
