In Providence, within the Roger Williams Park Zoo, is a penny smasher, offering four zoo-related designs to choose from.
Roger Williams Park is located along I-95. From I-95, take the exit for Rhode Island Route 10. Go east for 3/4 mile to the entrance to the park on the left. Continue along the main park road to the entrance to the zoo on the left. Park in the lot. You will need to pay admission to reach the smasher. From there, head for the elephant display, near an area with food and other consessions.
The penny smasher is like other smashers. There are four designs to choose from: giraffes, red panda, elephants, and a cheetah. We chose the cheetah. You make a choice by turning a handle.
