Laut einer Hinweistafel am Heiligenhäuschen wusch hier im Jahre 1720 ein französicher Offizier seine Wunden und wurde geheilt.
Aus Dankbarkeit ließ er später zu Ehren der Mutter Gottes, die er angerufen hatte, hier eine Kapelle errichten.

According to a billboard at the chapel, a French officer washed his wounds here in 1720 and was healed.
Out of gratitude he later had a chapel built here in honor of the Mother of God whom he had called.
