"Second Lieutenant Douglas Harcourt STEVENS. 4th Battalion, The Buffs (East Kent Regiment). Died 7th August 1918 aged 19 years. Son of Edward and Fanny Louisa Stevens of Uppertoes, Bobbing, Sittingbourne, Kent. Buried Beacon Cemetery, Sailly -Laurette, France. Grave reference I.B.8."
