Le splendide réseau pédestre international Montagne Saint-Pierre compte
20 magnifiques promenades nature, aménagées entre Geer et Meuse. Ces promenades débutent à sept lieux d’information, répartis sur le territoire transfrontalier au carrefour des Pays-Bas, de la Flandre et de la Wallonie. A chacun d’eux, le promeneur a le choix entre 3 ou 4 itinéraires de longueur différente. Le plus court fait 2,8 km et le plus long, 13,5 km. Le promeneur créatif peut combiner plusieurs promenades pour prolonger le plaisir, voire prévoir une randonnée de quelques jours.
Les sentiers de promenade sont balisés dans les deux sens, au moyen de symboles représentés sur des poteaux en bois. La signalisation se veut homogène, qu’on se trouve aux Pays-Bas, en Flandre ou en Wallonie. Les infrastructures nécessaires ont été mises en place pour accéder au territoire de la Montagne Saint-Pierre : ponts, escaliers, clôtures, rampes, portiques, etc. Le balisage et l’infrastructure font l’objet d’une inspection et de réparations régulières, financées par la vente des cartes de randonnées pédestres et cyclistes.

The splendid international pedestrian network Montagne Saint-Pierre counts
20 beautiful nature walks, arranged between Geer and Meuse. These walks begin at seven places of information, spread across the cross-border territory at the crossroads of the Netherlands, Flanders and Wallonia. To each of them, the walker has the choice between 3 or 4 routes of different length. The shortest is 2.8 km and the longest is 13.5 km. The creative stroller can combine several walks to extend the pleasure, or even plan a hike of a few days.
The walking trails are marked in both directions by means of symbols on wooden poles. The signage is homogeneous, whether in the Netherlands, Flanders or Wallonia. The necessary infrastructures have been put in place to access the territory of Montagne Saint-Pierre: bridges, stairs, fences, ramps, porticoes, etc. Markup and infrastructure are subject to regular inspection and repair, financed by the sale of hiking and cycling maps.
