Going shopping with one's spouse would be much easier if there were more of these near a mall food court. This is an outstanding place to dine and enjoy a beer, and they've got free, secure wi-fi if you need it, although you'll be hard-presssed to find a place to plug in your gadgets.
Even though Prohibition was ended in 1933, Utah still has some archaic laws, so if you're planning on having a beer and just a beer, you'll still need to order something to eat, and they'll make suggestions. Otherwise, they've got a great menu with a lot of choices, with foo-foo mixed in with your standard pub grub. You can pick from soups, salads, pizza -- watch them make it while you sit at the bar -- burgers and sandwiches, entrées, and pasta. They also have a small menu for the kids. If you have room after all that, they have some great desserts, and their crème brûlée pairs really well with a few of their Belgian styles. On the weekends, they have a brunch menu early in the day. Speaking of archaic laws, be aware that draft beer here is limited to 4%. That's a letdown for many, but frankly, many breweries in Utah are able to do some pretty good things despite those restraints, but they've still got you covered: They have a good selection of their own beer in a bottle, their "Fine Line", where there is no issue with 4%, and you'll get 500 ml of liquid gold to enjoy. Check the beer menu at your table, or the board near the bar, as you'll find that they've got nearly twenty different beers available, and rotation is fairly heavy. Elephino is a great DIPA for hopheads, while the Drioma Russion Imperial Stout will do a great job at pleasing the malt fanatics. Red Rock also makes their own caffeine-free root beer, and they've got some coffee drinks for those who aren't into beer.
Service is wonderful here, and the staff will happily make food or beverage recommendations if you need help. They can make a really bad day into a really good day.
