This shape of headstone is certainly uncommon, but it has the floral detail that is typical of so many zinc monuments. A plow and "At Rest." is on the reverse. On the front, the family name, "Griffeth", is on the plinth, and the panel reads:

Thos. A.
Griffeth,
Died June 5, 1904,
Age 72 Years.

-*-

Charles H.
Griffeth,
Died
April 29, 1896,
Age
34 Years.

---

While Emma is not explicitly identified on the headstone, a plate which reads "Mother" is attached to the plinth. A search of Findagrave turns up her information and verifies that she is also buried here with her family. Findagrave notes that Edward Griffeth had traveled to Idaho Falls to help Mrs. Griffeth when she was ill, only to pass away himself, while Charles Griffeth was killed in a fire at Cripple Creek. A daughter, Ida, was fortunate enough to live to old age.
