Ploština was a small settlement situated near to Valašské Klobouky, Zlín District, Moravian Wallachia, today's Czech Republic. On April 19, 1945, at the end of World War II, it was burned and its people were massacred by Nazis in response to their support of the anti-Nazi resistance movement. The massacre was conducted by the German special SS unit Zur besonderen Verwendung-Kommando Nr. 31, led by Walter Pawlofski, and by the SS anti-partisan unit Josef consisting of members of Slovak Hlinka-Guard, whose headquarters was in Vizovice.

Twenty-four people were burned alive, three more people were executed, and one person was tortured to death during interrogation.

A memorial was built on the place of the former Ploština settlement.It is today (2015) a national cultural monument of the Czech Republic

Národní kulturní památník Ploština se nachází na míste bývalé pasekárské osady Ploština asi 5 km severozápadne od Valašských Klobouk mezi obcemi Vysoké Pole a Drnovice.

V osade Ploština žilo až do roku 1945 nekolik desítek lidí. 19. dubna 1945 byla osada za prechovávání a podporu partyzánu vypálena nemeckými okupanty, kterí zavraždili 24 místních obyvatel. Po válce bylo na Ploštine postaveno nekolik nových domu pro pozustalé, ale každodenní život se sem už nevrátil. V 70. letech byla Ploština vyhlášena Národním kulturním památníkem. Dominantou celého místa je památník obetem II. svetové války a okupace ze zlínského okresu, který byl vybudován na malém návrší nad osadou v roce 1975 k 30. výrocí osvobození.
