[GER] Die ehemalige Volksschule Griesstrasse wurde 1928/29 im neuen Wohngebiet nach Entwurf von Fritz Schumacher erbaut. Mit Werksteinrahmung zusammengefasste Fenstergruppen betonen die Horizontale, Treppentürme geben dem sachlichen Klinkerbau vertikale Akzente.
Das Hamburg Wappen ist aus Metall gearbeitet und befindet sich über der Eingangstür Marienthaler Straße 172.
[ENG] The former elementary school Griesstrasse was built in 1928/29 in the new residential area according to a design by Fritz Schumacher. Window groups combined with ashlar frames emphasise the horizontal, stair towers give the functional clinker construction vertical accents.
The Hamburg coat of arms is made of metal and is located above the entrance door of Marienthaler Straße 172.

[GER] Das Wappen von Hamburg zeigt in Rot eine hervorkommende silberne Burg mit geschlossenem Rundbogentor, auf dem Zinnenkranz mit sieben Zinnen drei Türme, die beiden Äußeren vierfach gezinnt und von je einem sechszackigen silbernen Stern überhöht, der mittlere großer mit Kuppel, darauf ein Knauf und ein Kreuz.
[ENG] The coat of arms of Hamburg shows in red a protruding silver castle with a closed round arched gate, on the battlements with seven battlements three towers, the two outer ones tinned fourfold and each heightened by a six-pointed silver star, the middle big one with dome, on it a knob and a cross.
