het latijn letterlijke vertaling = na zonsopgang of : dageraad, morgengloren, ???crepuscule... enz.

De uitgesproken cirkelvorm van het monument is het uitgangspunt van de titelkeuze, waarvan de
symboliek zou kunnen omschreven worden als; een nieuwe dag, een nieuw tijdperk,
een nieuwe lente, vernieuwde voornemens, plannen....enz. De opkomende zon staat voor; licht,
warmte, optimisme, energie, hoop...
De Zelfstandige Ondernemers, of de Middenstand Hasselt wil door zijn dynamisch initiatief en door
middel van het Monument een langdurige impuls geven die de boodschap van vernieuwing, ondernemingsgeest, participatie enz. ..alleen maar gunstig kan ervaren worden door de
bevolking. De plastische vormgeving van “SOLE ORTO MEMORIAL” sluit aan bij deze titel-gedachte door een uitnodiging tot positief denken en handelen en is zelfs de antipode van het
franse gezegde ‘Sois belle et tais-toi’, vrij vertaald; actuele kunst hoeft niet zo nodig adembenemend mooi te zijn (in de opvatting van De Schone Kunsten), actuele kunst heeft nog een andere sociale rol te spelen, en daar mag over gepraat. Persoonlijk gaat mijn voorkeur vaar VERWONDERING boven BE-wondering omdat VER-WONDERING een venster opent naar bruikbare creativiteit in alle lagen van de bevolking in onze maatschappij.

Fonetisch klinkt de titel goed en is niet zo direct vatbaar voor volkse verbasteringen.
Motivatie omtrent het woord “MEMORIAL” = herdenkings-monument. Meestal toepasselijk op het verleden, personen, gebeurtenissen.
Ik gebruik graag deze Memorial omwille van zijn Dualiteits-kracht die mijn werk beheerst. Zo kan bijvoorbeeld een herdenkings-monument voor toekomstgerichte gebeurtenissen tegenstrijdig en
absurd overkomen maar het past wel in mijn visie van tijdloosheid.
Je kan zeggen: MONUMENT “SOLE ORTO” en dan betekent dit een dichterlijke hulde aan de
opkomende zon.
Je kan ook zeggen: “SOLE ORTO MEMORIAL” en dat is dan een hulde aan diezelfde zon die al
miljarden malen opgekomen is, dat wij dat vergeten zijn, en dat wij dit
fenomeen nog maar eens opnieuw moeten ontdekken... enz.

Het is dus een begrip met interpretatiemogelijkheden in dubbele richting.

means of the Monument give a long-term impulse that the message of innovation, entrepreneurial spirit, participation, etc. can only be found to be favorable
population. The plastic design of "SOLE ORTO MEMORIAL" fits in with this title-thought by an invitation to positive thinking and acting and is even the antipode of the
French saying 'Sois belle et tais-toi', freely translated; contemporary art does not necessarily have to be breathtakingly beautiful (in the opinion of De Schone Kunsten), contemporary art has yet another social role to play, and that is allowed to be talked about. Personally, my preference for BEHAVIOR is above BE wonder because VER-WONDERING opens a window to usable creativity in all layers of society in our society.

Phonetically, the title sounds good and is not immediately susceptible to popular astonishment.
Motivation about the word "MEMORIAL" = commemorative monument. Mostly applicable to the past, people, events.
I like to use this Memorial because of its Duality-power that dominates my work. For example, a commemorative monument for future-oriented events can be contradictory and
come across as absurd, but it fits my vision of timelessness.
You can say: MONUMENT "SOLE ORTO" and this means a poetic tribute to the
rising Sun.
You can also say "SOLE ORTO MEMORIAL" and that is a tribute to that same sun already
billions of times has arisen, that we have forgotten that, and that we do this
phenomenon once again to discover ... etc.

So it is a concept with interpretation possibilities in a double direction.
