The village hall is in downtown Stamford. Stamford has the Catskill Scenic Trail and the Headwaters Trail. There is also an observatory and hang-gliding.

This is an old brick building with a clock tower. The trim is white. the windows on the second floor are square but the first floor has windows that are rounded on top. The door is white with windows. There are eight steps leading to the front door with metal handrails on both sides.
