As part of Stage 1, of a $1M upgrade to the Sandery Avenue Reserve, there was new Playground equipment installed in 2010. The 'PlaySpace' modular equipment is rather garishly coloured, in purple, yellow, orange, turquoise, and black. It is mostly square metal tubing (RHS) for the uprights and legs, with multi-coloured plastic pieces.

There is a Swing Set with a baby 'bucket-seat' and chain for restraint, and standard rubber slat seat for older children. Foam soft-fall surrounds the Swings and the modular set. Apart from the mushroom shaped balancing Steps, there is also other ways to step up to the various platforms. There is a steeply sloping wooden slat ramp, which has a chain to assist the adventerous and active child. A vertical metal spiral can allow the child to climb up, or down on the inside or outside. A Firemans Pole, and two SLipper Slides - one wavy, and other twisting. There are a couple of different kinds of bridges to get to other platforms.
